AI Tooling Reflections

I cannot imagine working without AI tools anymore. The level of good work that is created from a single prompt is absolutely amazing. We have been going through a test campaign at work and feeding Fable 5.1 and Astra my reports from the last 3 years, analysis tools, and engineering notes has produced some of the best and most thorough reports I have ever seen. Not only do we cover the tests, the models also look at historical trends and lessons learned that maybe I had forgotten about. This isn’t 10x engineering, this is 100x. Having extensive documentation is allowing the models to grab old data and allow us to not re-learn hard lessons. It is remarkable how institutional knowledge is becoming a thing of the past.

ChatGPT Voice is easily the future of work for the next 6 months. I’m able to type about 98 WPM on my MacBook Air with no warm up and usually break 110 when on my mechanical keyboard. The input from my brain to the model does not seem to significantly speed up when using ChatGPT voice unless I am rambling a large project that will need several different features developed.
